Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Dades Valley

Your 3-day desert tour from Marrakech to Fes begins with an early pickup from your hotel. We’ll drive south through the High Atlas Mountains and cross the Tizi n’Tichka pass. Along the way, you’ll see Berber villages and we’ll stop for a few photos.

Next, we reach Ait Ben Haddou, a historic UNESCO-listed kasbah known for its old clay buildings and narrow paths. Many famous films were shot here, including Gladiator and Game of Thrones. After that, you’ll have time for lunch at one of the nearby restaurants.

In the afternoon, we’ll pass through Ouarzazate and continue along the Valley of Roses road. We reach Dades Valley by early evening where you’ll check in, enjoy dinner, and rest for the night.

Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Merzouga Desert

After breakfast, we’ll leave Dades Valley and drive toward Tinghir. Along the way, you’ll pass palm groves and old kasbahs lining the road.

Next, we’ll stop at Todra Gorge, where you can walk inside the canyon, follow the river, and look up at the tall rock walls on both sides.

We’ll then head toward Merzouga. As we reach the Sahara, your camel guide will be ready at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes. You’ll ride into the golden sand as the sun goes down.

We arrive at the desert camp before dark. you’ll enjoy a Moroccan dinner and live Berber music around the fire. Then spend the night in your private tent under the stars.

Day 3: Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Middle Atlas – Fes

We suggest waking up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, you’ll ride your camel back to the minibus before we begin the drive north.

The 3-day desert tour from Marrakech to Fes continues through the Ziz Valley. Along the way, we’ll stop at a viewpoint to enjoy the panoramic views of the palm-lined valley.

Next, we’ll continue through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Near Azrou, you’ll see Barbary monkeys in the cedar forest. We’ll also stop in Ifrane for a short break.
