How long is the desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga?
Our shared Merzouga tour runs over 3 days and 2 nights. You leave Marrakech on day one, cross the High Atlas, pass Aït Benhaddou and the Draa Valley, and arrive at the Erg Chebbi dunes in time for a sunset camel ride. Day three returns you to Marrakech or drops you in Fes.
What is the cheapest tour from Marrakech?
Our most affordable option is the Atlas Mountains day trip at €15 per person. For desert overnight experiences, the 2-day Zagora tour starts from €65 per person and is the lowest-priced route with a night in the desert.
What is the best time of year to visit the Sahara?
October to April is the most comfortable period, with mild days and cool evenings. March and November are ideal, with low crowds, good light, and pleasant temperatures for camel rides. We run tours year-round including summer, though July and August can be very hot in the dunes.
What is the difference between shared and private tours?
Shared tours are small groups of up to 15 travellers in a minibus, great value and a social way to travel. Private tours use a dedicated vehicle and driver just for your group, with flexible stops and a custom pace. We offer both for most routes.
Is a camel ride included in all desert tours?
Yes, a sunset camel trek into the dunes is included in all our overnight desert tours (Zagora, Merzouga, and Merzouga 4-day). The ride takes around 45 minutes to one hour each way and is led by an experienced local guide.
Can I customise my Morocco tour itinerary?
Absolutely. Our private tours can be fully tailored: extra nights, different routes, add-on activities like quad biking or sandboarding, or pickup from Fes, Casablanca, or Agadir. Message us on WhatsApp with what you have in mind and we'll build a custom quote.
