Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Draa Valley – Zagora
Your 2-day desert tour from Marrakech to Zagora begins with a pickup from your hotel. We then head south through the High Atlas Mountains and cross the Tizi n’Tichka pass, one of Morocco’s most scenic mountain roads. We stop along the way so you can take photos and stretch.
Next, we visit Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a historic UNESCO World Heritage site.Many famous films were shot here, including Gladiator and Game of Thrones. You have free time to walk through the old streets and explore
We then continue south through Ouarzazate and follow the road into the Draa Valley. Here, you see palm groves and old mud-brick villages lining the route.
We arrive in Zagora desert in the late afternoon. Then you ride a camel across the dunes at sunset. Finally, you settle into your desert camp for dinner and music by the fire.
Day 2: Zagora – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
We suggest waking up early to watch the sunrise over the Zagora desert. After breakfast at camp, you ride the camel back to the Minibus.
Next, we begin the drive back toward Marrakech. Along the way, we stop in Ouarzazate . Then we cross the Atlas Mountains again, with photo stops at scenic viewpoints.
Finally, we arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon and drop you off at your hotel or riad, marking the end of your 2-day Marrakech to Zagora desert tour.
